Power in Systems <Question>
What role does "power" play in complex systems? What is power? Does "accumulation of power" and "how information can increase power" have anything to do with the development of complex systems with information carrying capacity?
The political definition of power is the ability to control other people. In an abstract sense, then power in a system would be the ability to control other agents in the system. Does this power really exist? Or does the power really come from the system itself? What does power look like in natural systems? Is the brain the most "powerful" organ in the body because it can control the rest of the body?
The answers to questions along this line will provide some very interesting insights into understanding systems.
